Following the huge success of the first Private Dining Club in May, we were delighted to welcome our members and new guests to enjoy the Masterchefs of Great Britain Dinner!
Guests enjoyed a glass of champagne and canapés on arrival in the Drawing Room and lounge, before being seated in The Library to enjoy a spectacular five course dining experience. The dishes created by Masterchefs of Great Britain Mick Burke and Len Unwin were created from locally sourced products and guests received a butler style service from Andrew and his team from Coghlans. Wines were paired with each course and presented by Andrew Coghlan, complimenting the flavours within each dish.
Guests indulged in courses including a ballotine of corn-fed chicken with sweetcorn risotto, followed by a beautifully cooked confit of salmon. The main course fillet of Derbyshire beef with mustard crust and braised shin “bon bon” was followed by the lightest passionfruit and cicely posset accompanied with oreo crumb and champagne & elderflower jelly. The Masterchefs finished off the evening with a spectacular summer picnic dessert – presented with a miniature white chocolate checkerboard picnic blanket!
