A few House Rules




A £1000 damage deposit should be handed to the owner or their representative before arrival. This deposit will then be returned to you following a satisfactory inspection of the property.

You are liable for all costs resulting from breakages and loss or damage to any equipment or fixtures and fittings not caused by Rudby Hall.

Smoking is not permitted inside Rudby Hall or at any event catered by the Company in accordance with current legislation in respect of Smoking, Health and Social Care. You will be responsible for the conduct of all guests to ensure that the current legislation is complied with.

Failure to do so shall entitle Rudby Hall to require the offending individual(s) to leave the function and shall constitute a breach of their Terms and Conditions of trading and may result in the relevant authorities imposing a Fixed Penalty £50 fine on each individual. Smoking is only permitted outside the Hall. There are ashtrays affixed to the wall of the Hall at the side of the property. Please use designated ashtrays and do not discard stubs on the ground.

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that nothing is affixed to the fabric of the building including walls, floors and ceilings.

Rudby  Hall accepts no responsibility for items left or stored on the Hall’s premises. The client should ensure that they have sufficient insurance provision in place to meet any and all claims levelled against it and shall indemnify the Hall and its owners, employees against all charges, claims, damages, liabilities, proceedings, demands, fines, fees, costs or expenses. 


Please note that Rudby Hall operates an over 21 policy in relation to the sale of alcohol. Any persons who look under 21 years of age requesting alcohol will be asked to provide valid identification showing a photo of them and their date of birth prior to being sold alcohol.

The client shall be responsible for the orderly conduct of the event and shall ensure that nothing shall be done which may constitute a breach of the law or in any way cause a nuisance or be an infringement of or occasion or render possible forfeiture or endorsement of any license for the sale of alcohol or for music and dancing. Failure to do so shall entitle Rudby  Hall to require the offending individual(s) to leave the function and shall constitute a breach of these Terms and Conditions of trading.

The client and their guests are not permitted to bring their own alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages into the premises and the grounds without the consent of the owner. If consent is granted, the owner or their representative will apply a corkage fee. Any non-authorised beverage found in the premises or in the grounds will be confiscated. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a retainer fee of £500 from the damage deposit.

You will indemnify us against any loss, damage, costs and expenses (including legal fees) which we may suffer or incur and against any claims brought against us as a result of any act or omission of either you or your guests or as a result of any defect in equipment supplied by either you or your guests.

All children must be under adult supervision at all times.

Bio degradable confetti is allowed to be thrown.
